We had an amazing week!  We were so lucky that it snowed on the week we were talking about snow.   We walked through the snow to get to P.E. and Music and had a snowy good time!! Monday-we introduced our letter R with an R book,  used chalkboards to write our R,  focused on proper pencil grip and talked about the different forms of water and how a snowflake is formed. Wednesday-we had a lesson on sequencing by using 3 steps to making our paper bag puppets.  We saw our reading buddies and watched some wonderful plays they put on for us.  Many of the teachers stopped me in the hall to compliment how well our class sat still and behaved!  Yay for us!  We also painted and glittered snowflakes which are hanging above the lockers.  We read the Grouchy Ladybug and talked about manners and read Snowman at Night . Friday-we played with snow glitter play dough, made snowmen and went on a nature walk to find items we could use to build our snowmen.  We made snow murals to decorate our clas

We had a great but short week.  We learned about the letter J, read the J book, Julius, and The Snowy Day .  We talked about Winter Wear, why we bundle up during the cold months and dressed up our paper person to be ready for the winter.  We talked about our star shape and the number 5.  We traced our names and are focusing on proper pencil grip. We met our Chicken and sang an egg song as well as put on our pretend glasses and opened up our books to get ready to learn. We visited the MPR(Multi Purpose Room) for recess and were able to get out on Friday for some nice weather.  We are getting down a routine that works well for the kids.  We are focusing on kind words that we can encourage each other with. They are amazing children!  This week our letter is R.  See you all tomorrow!

Wish me luck!😊 This week we talked about Polar Bears and how their skin is black to absorb the heat from the sun, how they have fur on the bottom of their feet for traction and to keep them warm on the ice, and discussed what they eat.  We read The Mitten story and made mittens to put all the animals inside.  We talked about the letter W and read Where the Wild Things Are , The W Book( these are the books they brought home on Monday) , sang Wimoweh and Willaby Wallaby Woo, using rhyme to teach rhyming words with our names.  We also practiced proper pencil grip, proper scissor usage, and did many cutting exercises.  I have also been doing some initial testing for the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences.  The sign-ups will be posted on Wednesday. It was a great we
